The great poet Fazıl Hüsnü DAĞLARCA "LIGHTHOUSE"  In his beautiful poem, Igneada is French.
He described his lighthouse:
The big nose stretched out towards the open sea,
Navy blue and gray are worth the night.
Love for a world begins with darkness,
The lighthouse shines,
On the rocks regardless of luck

The clouds converge on the tinted plains,
A fog descends from distant harbors.
A trouble begins in the darkness of your destiny,
Notifies, when it burns,
Where are you in your life, where are you in love?

Is your heart constricting, in the starlight,
Let the memories go a little further back.
Time can walk without taking the soul away,
Think how it stood patiently for hundreds of years,
Always in this spot, this lighthouse...

Located in Limanköy, 4 km from Igneada, on the slope of 50-60 meters from the sea,
The lighthouse was built by the French in 1866 during the reign of Sultan Abdülmecit.
It is also known as the French Lighthouse. We have more than 8000 km of coastline, 407 lighthouses.
Unfortunately, there is no lighthouse in our country that we produce with our own technology.
The lighthouses, which were generally built by the French during the Ottoman period, are all over our country.
